Radioligand binding assay capabilities
Our services include saturation binding assays for detailed analysis of target expression and ligand affinity, competition assays to evaluate candidate specificity, and cell-based target internalization studies to explore receptor-mediated endocytosis.
With expertise in kinetic analyses and specialized techniques such as Immunoreactive Fraction Assays (IRF) and ex vivo dose occupancy assays, we deliver actionable insights to drive informed decisions and ensure translational relevance. Learn more:
Saturation Binding Assays
In order to de-risk the development of a novel radioligand or to understand the powering of a study associated with altered target expression in disease state, we can perform in vitro autoradiography or homogenate saturation binding assays to measure the target expression (maximum binding signal, BMAX) and ligand affinity (dissociation constant, KD) by traditional pharmacology methods in ethically sourced animal and human tissue.
Competition Binding Assays
Perspective offers competition binding assays performed to determine the relative affinity (Ki) of unlabelled candidates and to determine whether they share the same binding site as a radiolabelled tool compound.
Target Internalisation Assays
Cell-based target internalisation assays can be performed to investigate aspects of receptor-mediated endocytosis and the time course associated with this phenomenon.
Kinetic assays
Kinetic parameters such as the association (Kon) and dissociation (koff) may be determined by using a radiolabelled candidate to establish ligand kinetics.
Other radioligand binding assay approaches used for specific applications include Immunoreactive Fraction Assays (IRF) and ex vivo dose occupancy assays.
